YSR Congress hits out at Chandrababu Naidu for joining hands with Congress

SR Congress, the principal opposition party in Andhra Pradesh, lashed out at ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu for meeting Congress president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi on Thursday (November 1).

Stating that the opportunist politics of Chandrababu Naidu has come in the full glare of the nation with this meeting, YSR Congress said the TDP chief had always been leaning on others’ shoulders and had never won elections on his own.

“It is ironic that Chandrababu Naidu should join hands with the Congress as NT Rama Rao had founded the party [TDP] on the anti-Congress plank and had brought together all the non-Congress parties together. But now things have slipped to rock bottom of opportunism as he [Naidu] is joining the very party that has ditched the people of Andhra Pradesh,” said senior leader Ambati Rambabu.
